NO 3: AUTUMN RAIN

Autumn rain

Comforting, the grey sky's embrace.
Silent serenity descends, a tranquil space.
Raindrops gently dance upon the window's pane,
Growing stronger, their rhythm a sweet refrain.
Through the glass, I gaze, thoughts fleeting or none,
Witnessing rising streams, trees fiercely undone.
Distant thunder roars, a symphony untamed,
Yet my heart longs to wander, to be rain-claimed.
Alas, my father's caution echoes in my ear,
"Too dangerous," he warns, my desires unclear.
I'll wait for the storm's calm, its fury abate,
For now, I stand still, yearning, anticipating fate.
When rain's curtain fades, clouds no longer gray,
A cleansed earth's fragrance lingers, yet I stay.
Wordless, I marvel at nature's canvas unfurled,
Absorbing the beauty, a silent witness to this world.
